Join the challenge

Open the Data-hack Challenge page and click Participate to begin.

Choose how you will participate

Select Create a team if you are participating alone or setting up a new group. Select Join a team only if an existing open team is expecting you.

SoloYour “team” will simply contain one person.

Create or access your account

Enter your details and choose a password, then click Next. Use an email address you check regularly because platform notifications will be sent there.

Complete your profile

Finish your personal profile using the Edit links. A complete profile helps the organisers identify and contact you.

Name and register your participation

Complete the registration form and enter a clear participation name and description. Select the required category and provide your personal, institution and location details.

Add teammates only if needed

You may continue independently or work with up to three other people. If you already have collaborators, invite them from the Team area. If not, the Hiring area can help you find an open team.

Team ruleOne person creates the participation; the others join that same team.

Complete each phase form

Return to Participation form whenever a new phase opens. Complete every required field and upload the requested files before the phase deadline.

Watch for announcements

Check the bell in the top bar for important updates, newly opened forms, deadlines and messages from the organisers.

Contact the challenge team

Open the Admin / Support area and click Send whenever you need technical or programme support.
