Sport Innovation Challenge - AI & Robotics Results
After an intense challenge that lasted over 4 months and saw over 70 ideas, the Final of the 2025 Sport Innovation Challenge - AI & Robotics took place on 13 May 2025 in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The challenge AI & Robotics in Sport asked a timely question: how can technology help sport evolve on and off the field?
The 5 finalists gave it their all during their 2-minute pitches, each followed by a 3-minute Q&A with the judges, and responded with a range of solutions addressing athlete performance, operational efficiency, accessibility, and fan experience.

Winner – First Place
PluggableAI stood out with its real-time fan engagement analytics tool. Using embedded AI technology, the solution captures audience emotions and attention levels—giving sponsors and rights holders deeper insight into impact and reach.
SoftSocket
Second Place
SoftSocket offered a transformative approach to adaptive sport. Their 3D-printed prosthetic socket is lightweight, comfortable, and designed for active users, expanding access to sport for people with limb differences worldwide.
CONTRA
Third Place
CONTRA's PadelPulse uses sensor-driven data and AI to enhance performance, coaching, and community engagement in one of the fastest-growing global sports.

SoftSocket revolutionizes prosthetics with a self-adjustable, lightweight, and affordable socket for active users. We seek partners to scale our impact, expand global access, and drive innovation in inclusive sports and healthcare solutions.
CONTRA
Building the future of connected racquet sports with padel as a start. CONTRA has developed an AI platform, connected to a sensorized accessory, for performance tracking, club management, remote coaching and social networking.
PluggableAI
PluggableAI develops AI-based solutions for measuring real-time emotional connections. Fanmeter, uses non-intrusive sensors to enhance fan experience and boost revenue. The company raised €1.75M (Seed round) and is ready for global expansion.
PickEat
PickEat is an AI-driven platform that optimizes F&B logistics at events. We analyze venue layouts and crowd movement to strategically position vendors and pick-up points, ensuring every attendee has F&B service available within two minutes of their seat.
